With magnificent views over Swaledale, this superb, former lead miner's cottage has been decorated and furnished to a high standard. Welcoming and cosy, this spacious cottage is ideally located for exploring Swaledale, one of the least spoilt Yorkshire Dales with its flower meadows and stone barns, as well as the surrounding area including Wensleydale and the Upper Eden Valley. Just a ten-minute walk from the cottage, our village pub, The Punch Bowl, has been re-developed and offers superb food, excellent ale and great hospitality. The nearby market town of Reeth offers tea shops, pubs, a Post Office and gift shops, whilst Richmond and Hawes offer a wider variety for all of your holiday needs.

The cottage is accessed via the quite steep Langthwaite Road and along a 250 yard farm track
The cottage is completely non smoking
1 medium-sized, well-behaved dog welcome
Children are welcome and there is a safety gate provided for the wooden stairs

Utility cupboard housing vacuum cleaner, mop and bucket, iron and ironing board, picnic hamper, picnic flask and holder (shoulder type), picnic rug, stair gate

Accommodation & Facilities

The cottage is heated by electric panel heaters throughout. All electricity and initial supply of fuel for the wood-burning stove in the sitting room are included in the rental.

Ground Floor

The cosy sitting room (pictured above) is a wonderful place to relax when you return from a day out walking or touring the Yorkshire Dales, with:

stereo system speaker for iPOD and
telephone that accepts incoming calls.

The well-equipped kitchen

The well-equipped kitchen, with dining area, is through an arch from the sitting room, and includes electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine (iron and board stored in utility cupboard under stairs)

The minstrel-style double bedroom

The minstrel-style double bedroom provides a king-sized bed. The single bedroom and bathroom are accessed via the double room. Travel cot is available. Bed linen is provided
but please supply your own Cot Linen.

The bathroom comprises bath with mixer tap shower over, wash-hand basin, WC, shaver point and heated towel rail.
